Account and Data Deletion Policy (Canaprep)

This policy outlines the steps users of the Canaprep app must take to request the deletion of their account and all associated personal data, or to request the deletion of specific data without closing their account.

📝 Selective Data Deletion (Without Account Closure)

You may request that certain data associated with your account be deleted without deleting your entire Canaprep account. This gives you more control over your personal information while keeping your account active.

  1. Identify the Data: Determine the specific categories of data you wish to remove (e.g., all saved notes, specific user-generated files, or activity history).

  2. Compose an Email: Send an email to our support team at: canaprepcanadatest@gmail.com

  3. Use Subject Line: The subject line must be: Selective Data Deletion Request: [Your Registered Email Address]

  4. Specify Request: In the body of the email, clearly list the specific categories or examples of data you want deleted, and confirm that you wish to keep your account active.

  5. Processing: Our team will delete the requested data (if technically feasible and not required for core account function) within 10 business days and notify you upon completion.

Note: Deleting certain data (like core account profile information) may prevent the app from functioning correctly, in which case we will inform you before processing the deletion.

⚠️ Requesting Full Account Deletion

To request the permanent deletion of your Canaprep account and all associated personal data, please follow these steps carefully:

  1. Compose an Email: Send an email to our support team at: canaprepcanadatest@gmail.com

  2. Use Subject Line: The subject line must be: Account Deletion Request: [Your Registered Email Address]

  3. Include Confirmation: In the body of the email, please explicitly state: "I confirm that I wish to permanently delete my Canaprep account and all associated data."

  4. Verification: Our team will respond within 5 business days to confirm receipt and may ask up to two questions to verify your identity as the account owner before processing the request. This is for your security.

Once confirmed, your account and all deletable data will be permanently removed from our active databases within 10 calendar days.

🗑️ Data That Will Be Deleted (In Full Account Deletion)

The following personal data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our live systems:

  • Identifying Information: Full Name, Registered Email Address.

  • Account Credentials: Encrypted password hash.

  • User-Generated Content: Any data, notes, or uploaded files created directly by you within the app.

  • Activity History: Usage logs directly tied to your user ID (excluding anonymized technical logs).

  • Subscription/Billing Data: Any historical linkage to third-party payment processors (note: actual payment details are never stored by Canaprep).

🔒 Data That Will Be Retained (Retention Period)

Certain limited data may be retained for specific legal and operational purposes. This retained data will be anonymized or kept in a secure, non-public archive for a limited retention period.

What Happens After Full Account Deletion?

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You will lose access to all your saved data, purchases, and progress within the Canaprep app. If you wish to use the app again in the future, you will need to register as a new user.
